Our story

A quiet shop, a careful eye, a community that keeps coming back.

Baby Go Around has been part of the Randpark Ridge community for over fifteen years — quietly doing one thing well: giving baby gear a second life.

How it started

The shop grew out of a simple observation: families were replacing baby gear every two or three years, and most of it was still in good shape. Good cots, safe car seats, barely-used strollers were going into storage or worse — into landfill — while other families were buying new at full price.

So Elvis started doing what he still does today: buy what's still good, clean it properly, safety-check what matters, and pass it on at a fair price. Cash on the spot. No consignment. No hidden fees. Everything visible and honest.

What we stand for

Safety, never shortcut

Every car seat is inspected for harness integrity, shell damage and expiry. We turn down what can't be trusted, even when it means a missed sale.

Honest descriptions

If there's a scratch, a worn patch, a stain that wouldn't come out — we tell you. Our "condition" ratings are what they say on the tin.

Cash on the spot

When we buy, you get paid the moment you drop off. No agency fees, no consignment percentages, no six-week waits.

Knowing the regulars

Elvis keeps a WANTS book. Tell us what you're after and we'll ring when it comes in — sometimes months later.

A family business, in a small shopping centre

We're not a chain. You won't find us in a mall. We're in a corner of Trinity Village Shopping Centre, off Beyers Naude Drive, open seven days a week. Pop in, look around, have a chat. If you come with a buggy full of little ones, we'll understand.

"Elvis remembered I was looking for a sleigh cot. Six months later he phoned me — and it was in better condition than anything I'd seen new. That's the kind of place it is."
